Selah

As many of you know my wife and I have been preparing to head out to Ecuador with SIM and this last week has been our orientation.  It's been an intense, informative and hugely inspiring week. I thought that this would be a good week to pause my regular Saturday blog going through 2 Peter 1 and rest and reflect.

Selah is a Hebrew word that appears 74 times in the Bible, 71 times in the book of Psalms and 3 times in Habakkuk. The meaning of this word is a little uncertain however most agree that it is a musical term and that its purpose is to force the reader (or singer) to pause and reflect.

I would love to encourage you this morning to selah, to pause and reflect on your week.

- Where have you seen God's goodness?
- Where have you seen God's generosity?
- Have you had to cling to God?
- Have you enjoyed God's presence?

Please pray as the Holy Spirit leads and prompts you in your time of selah.
